Here at Shine Dental Clinic, we are passionate about making your dentistry as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Our entire team have a wealth of experience in dealing with nervous patients. You are not on your own feeling anxious about dentistry. If our patience, care and gentle manner do not alleviate your anxieties, then maybe sedation is for you.

Intravenous sedation is a safe and simple procedure which makes you more relaxed and in a dreamlike state. You will be conscious throughout the procedure. However, you will no longer be fearful of having your treatment.

Sedation is particularly useful in the following cases:

• Highly anxious about dental visits
• Have had traumatic dental experiences in the past
• Receiving complex treatments/surgery
• Have difficulty getting numb
• Have a strong gag reflex
• Have TMJ troubles and cannot open your mouth for extended periods
• Are afraid of needles in your mouth
• Have sensitive teeth
• Hate the noises and/or smells associated with dental care
